Giving Thanks

November is full of thanksgiving and a season of gratitude. I can’t help but think of Diversity Richmond and how much gratitude I hold for them. Without them giving me the grace that I needed the most at that moment, I’m not sure where I would be today.

I see that throughout the actions of the organization everyday. I am the event coordinator for Diversity Richmond and the best part of my job is being able to support our community partners through partnerships as well as provide space for various types of supports groups every evening of the week. Giving others a safe space to come to and just be themselves fearlessly. We absolutely are the hub of not only LGBTQ community, but anyone who feels misunderstood, lost or just “different.”

DIVERSITY Richmond is the place that reminded me that no matter what I belonged and mattered. Thank you.
