Diversity Richmond has a number of event spaces for rent to match almost any occasion. Whether you are celebrating a quinceanera, holding a fundraising event for your organization, throwing a dance party or hosting a corporate networking or training event, we've got a space for you!
Our facility is centrally located between Hermitage and Brook roads, with ample free parking and easy access from I-95 and I-64. We offer flexible set-up times, event support staff, A/V equipment, and day and nighttime availability.


Non-profit organizations are eligible for a reduced rental rates. Non-profit organizations that share the mission and vision of Diversity Richmond may apply to have these rental fees further reduced or waived.

Main Event Hall (500 people max standing - 300 seated)

Our 13,000-square-foot Event Hall provides flexible space to accommodate meetings, conferences, trade shows, banquets, weddings, musical and theatrical performances, and much more. The space is a blank slate that can be decorated with a tailored layout for any occasion. All of our event spaces are ADA accessible.

Main Hall Rates:

Friday-Saturday              $3,000/daily rate   (Previous day set up add $1,000)

Sunday-Thursday           $1,500/daily rate  (Previous day set up add $500)

Price includes:

  • Access to small event hall space for dressing rooms, storage, or buffet

  • Clean-up and trash removal

  • Secure on-site parking lot and curbside parking

  • Platform stage

  • Event support staff

  • Access to refrigerators and freezers for food/drink/ice storage

Additional fees:

  • Tables and chairs, including set-up and break down, for up to 300 guests  $300

    • Rectangle and round tables available

  • 85 inch touchscreen SmartBoard with WiFi, Bluetooth and HDMI connectivity $100

  • Uniformed security (required for events serving alcohol)

    • Minimum of four hours per officer at $50 per hour

    • One officer required per 100 guests (subject to discretion of Richmond Sheriff’s Office)

    • Diversity Richmond charges a $50 security coordination fee

  • A security deposit must be paid before the hall can be reserved. All rental fees are due 30 days prior to the event date. The security deposit will be refunded within five business days after the event, minus any cost for repairs as the result of damage to the facility by the tenant or their guests.

    Individuals or organizations who cancel a scheduled event within 14 days of the event date will forfeit 50% of the security deposit.

    Security and rent deposits that are paid less than two weeks prior to the event must be paid by cash, credit card, certified check, money order or Paypal. Checks will not be accepted. The remainder of the rent must be paid prior to set-­up and through the same methods.

  • Fees for other uses and configurations of the space will be negotiated with the tenant.

Small Hall (150 max standing - 80 seated)

Our Small Event Hall is the perfect space for smaller events, including corporate or community trainings, smaller seated dinners and cocktail receptions.

  • A security deposit must be paid before the hall can be reserved. All rental fees are due 30 days prior to the event date. The security deposit will be refunded within five business days after the event, minus any cost for repairs as the result of damage to the facility by the tenant or their guests.

    Individuals or organizations who cancel a scheduled event within 14 days of the event date will forfeit 50% of the security deposit.

The Iridian Art Gallery/Conference Room (50-75 people)

Diversity Richmond’s Iridian Gallery is the only non-profit art gallery exclusively for LGBTQ artists in the South.  It is the perfect venue for an upscale cocktail party, donor appreciation or networking event or small wedding reception.  The space has an upscale feel and allows guests to enjoy our latest art exhibition.

  • A security deposit must be paid before the gallery or classroom can be reserved. All rental fees are due 4 business days before the event date. The security deposit will be refunded within five business days after the event, minus any cost for repairs or cleaning as a result of damage to the facility by the tenant or their guests.

    Individuals or organizations who cancel a scheduled event within 5 business days of the event date will forfeit 50% of the security deposit.

  • Fees for other uses and configurations of the space will be negotiated with the tenant.

    It is the responsibility of the tenant to protect and maintain the integrity of the wooden surfaces and nicer furniture pieces in the lounge and gallery. Diversity Richmond will provide assistance and/or direction concerning these matters.

Sunday-Thursday           $250/daily rate

  • Up to four high top cocktail tables

  • Limited access to rectangle or round tables

  • Access to refrigerator/freezer for food and beverage storage
