OUR PROGRAMS

Since its inception, Diversity Richmond has distributed more than $850,000 to area non-profit organizations.

INCLUSIVE EXPERIENCES

Virginia Pride

Producing dozens of events annually celebrating the Richmond region’s LGBTQ community, including the largest festival in the Commonwealth, attracting more than 50,000 people. Virginia Pride also provides grants, sponsorships, and scholarships to support LGBTQ people, organizations, and allies.

ART THAT MATTERS

Iridian Gallery

Fostering lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer+ artists and their community by exhibiting their art, as well as work relating to their experiences. The gallery is a vital constituent of Greater Richmond’s vibrant arts culture.

Partnership.

In addition to supporting our community financially, Diversity Richmond is a collaborator, convening groups with similar aspirations to effect social change and encourage acceptance. Some of our programs have served as catalysts for the creation of other organizations, such as the Richmond Business Alliance and we partner with national entities to create locally-focused resources.

MORE THAN A BARGAIN STORE

Diversity Thrift

Richmond's best thrift store selling furniture, clothing, electronics, books, movies, knick-knacks and so much more! All proceeds benefit area non-profit organizations that use these funds to strengthen the LGBTQ+ and Greater Richmond community

BLACK RECOGNITION

Black and Bold

A grassroots effort to offer the RVA community an opportunity to celebrate and commemorate bold Black LGBTQ individuals. This recognition is critical to creating more awareness about the contributions of Black LGBTQ persons in the Richmond community.
