Part-Time Events Assistant

Diversity Richmond is seeking a part time Events Assistant to assist our Events Coordinator in managing our events spaces. Duties include ensuring that the venue is set up properly for the event to include all equipment including A/V equipment and any other needed materials. This position is responsible for serving as the point of contact during the event and ensuring appropriate doors are locked and unlocked before and after the event. This position will be responsible for maintaining all event venues by sweeping, mopping, dusting and resetting event spaces, as well as ensuring that the restrooms are cleaned and well stocked. This position will be responsible for greeting clients and ensuring that they have everything that they need to run a successful event, as well as maintaining the safety and security of the event hall and taking appropriate action as needed. The ideal candidate must be flexible and able to work irregular hours. Starting pay is $15 per hour. You will be the face of Diversity’s warehouse – politely bringing in donations, loading and unloading furniture, processing inventory, and keeping the store looking amazing. Duties and requirements: Politely assisting customers with furniture donations, lifting, moving, loading, pricing, and sorting donations, organizing, and cleaning the store to keep it safe and looking great. Ability to lift 50+ pounds. Extended periods of standing and walking. Punctual and reliable. Like to stay busy throughout the day.
