We are honored to have in attendance, Nobel Peace Prize nominee, Mandy Carter. Mandy is one of the co-founders of Southerners on New Ground (SONG) and she is the recipient of the 2006 Spirit of Justice Award from Boston's Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) for her work on LGBT civil rights in the United States, just one of many awards and accolades. \nThis casual round-table event will not only be an opportunity for lesbian, bi-sexual and transgendered women to honor our history-makers, but also an opportunity to recognize those who are making history now in our city, as well as a time to discuss next steps in the women’s movement. There is no charge for this event. Community Partners will have information about their projects in a resource area.
